Step One: Plan Your Event

Learn Métis History offers all-ages workshops that run between 30 to 45 minutes in length. Oh yeah, we also bring everything to the party! All technology, instruments, and materials are brought by us. All you need to bring is the space!

Step two: Pick the Content

Dance Stream

Dive into Métis history through movement and competition. Participants will learn a variety of traditional partner, group, and competitive dances while exploring the cultural stories behind them.

Music Stream

Explore Métis history through rhythm and song. Participants will sing, stomp, and tap along with traditional Métis tunes, learning how music connected and inspired Voyageurs on their journeys.

Hybrid Stream

Experience a lively Métis kitchen party setting that blends music and dance. Participants will learn to play the musical spoons and take part in traditional Métis dances that reflect the joy of community gatherings.
